The shop sign and the owner link have different jobs.
Printed codes open the public drop-off guide and stay useful across visits. The connection QR generated inside an individual visit is private, expires after 30 minutes, and takes that vehicle's owner to Tesla authorization.
A working key is arranged separately. Entering a drawn shop boundary does not grant vehicle access. Review keys and permissions at pickup, even after closing the GuestLot record. Read the owner guide.

About the print kit
What happens when an owner scans a printed sign?
Their phone opens your shop's public drop-off guide. It explains the visit and key handover process. Scanning the sign does not check in a vehicle, authorize Tesla, add a key, or unlock the car.
How does an owner connect their Tesla?
After creating the visit, staff generate its owner connection QR in GuestLot. The owner scans it on their phone and approves in their own Tesla account. That private link expires after 30 minutes; it is separate from the permanent code on the printed signs.
Does the shop still need a key?
Staff need a working vehicle key or an owner-approved shop phone key to enter and move the car. Agree on the method and test it with the owner before they leave. GuestLot's geofence and connected readings do not provide staff with lock, unlock, or drive controls.
Can I print individual sheets or save a PDF?
Yes. The app offers a print button for each piece and one for the full kit. Use the browser's print dialog to print or save as PDF. Every page uses US Letter portrait; print at 100% with browser headers and footers off.
Do owners need a GuestLot account?
No. The public shop guide opens without signing in. For connected vehicle readings, the owner uses their own Tesla account. The shop keeps its internal visit record and chooses whether to share an owner report.
