Can a lost or stolen Tesla key card be tracked down?

Open the car's Locks screen, find the card in the key list, and delete it; that ends its ability to unlock or drive the car from that moment on, with no record left behind of where it went or who had it.

What should a shop do instead of relying on the key card?

Stop treating the card as the record. Assign one named custodian, log who took it out and when on paper or in a system that is not the card itself, and pair it with a time-boxed, owner-authorized telemetry window for the visit — miles driven, after-hours lot exits, and the exact moment access ends.
